It's posts like this that make Mondays better, don't ya think? Today's scene is taken from the sequel, Justice.

I was trying to think of what I could call this scene as it's within the first chapter of the book, and decided on...

Mother Darling.

Leading up to this point, Zander and Angel have decided to take matters into their own hands and unite in the search for Julie. The choices that are made ruffle some serious features with Angel's parents, and in this snippet Mama is the first to react.

This scene in its entirety is one of my favourites. Angel knows that she just can't sit back and wait on her parents to make a plan of action to save Julie. Feeling like her time is running out to save her bestie, she takes matters into her own hands with the help of Zander.

The problem is, she's never acted against her parents before and has no idea how to deal with the repercussions or how to stand firm in her decision with confidence. Realizing the depths of her actions, she immediately starts falling apart at the first sign of resistance from her parents.

Zander on the other hand. He knows exactly what he's done, the price he must pay and the consequences he faces, and regrets nothing. He oozes confidence and even arrogance...which as we can see in the scene above, doesn't exactly sit well with mother darling either.

Oh Zander.
